孙成功教授是诺丁汉大学能源与数字技术国际博士创新中心副主任、英格兰中部能源研究生院课程部主任。曾获美国化学会R.A. Glenn Award奖项,是英国化学工程师学会和美国化学会会员。在世界知名学术刊物累计发表学术论文100余篇;获国际专利授权3项;参与出版专著两部(章节):
New and Future Developments in Catalysis: Activation of Carbon Dioxide’ (Steven L. Suib Ed., ISBN: 0444538836), Elsevier, 2013;Analytical Chemistry: Methods and Applications (Trimm, Harold H. Ed., ISBN: 978-1-926692-58-6), CRC Press, 2011。时常为Applied Energy、Carbon、Fuel、Journal of American Chemical Society (JACS), Chemical Engineering Journal等多种国际知名学术期刊审稿。
在过去四年中,连续两年获得诺丁汉大学工程学部的科研教学先进,主导创建的Energy Storage和重新修订的Power Generation & Carbon Capture两门研究生和高年级本科课程成为工程学部最受欢迎的课程之一并获国际化学工程师协会的课程认证。同时,在5年一次的 IChemE化学工程和IMO3材料学科国际认证中,孙教授讲授的研究生课程 MSc Design & Research Projects被誉为“Jewel in Crown”。

Power Generation and Carbon Capture
The world energy landscape is currently undergoing rapid development with new concepts and technologies emerging all the time, due to the concerns over climate change and sustainability, an unprecedented challenge facing the humanitarian world. This research-informed multi-disciplinary module on climate change science &low-carbon energy technologies is designed to equip the students with the new concepts, core knowledges, engineering know-how skills and latest developments in such a rapidly developing area.
·Prerequisite requirement:4thyear undergraduates and all levels of post-graduates, including masters and PhDs in the general field of engineering sciences and technologies.
